Bound AI ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Darts Labs LLC. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who we share it with, and your choices. By using Bound AI you agree to this policy.

Bound AI is a habit-accountability app. You stake in-app Credits (a virtual, play-only currency with no cash value and no cash-out) on a task you set for yourself, then prove you did it by taking a photo, which is checked by AI. It is not gambling — Credits can never pay out more than you staked, and the only thing that "multiplies" is cosmetic Points, which have no monetary value.
Account identity. When you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider gives us a unique account identifier so we can recognize your account across sessions. We store this identifier. We do not ask for or store your name; your email may be provided by the sign-in provider during authentication.
Your task data. The tasks you create — the task text, the AI-generated success criteria, the assigned verification gesture, your stake amount, deadlines, and status (pending/won/lost) — are stored so the app can function.
In-app balances. Your Credits and Points balances.
Push notification token. If you allow notifications, we store your device's push token so we can send you deadline reminders.
Photos you take (processed, not stored). When you submit proof, the photo is sent to Google Gemini — a third-party AI service operated by Google — together with your task text and the required gesture, so it can be checked in real time. The app asks for your explicit permission before the first photo is ever sent, and names Google as the recipient at that moment. The photo is not saved: we do not keep a copy in our database or in any storage, request logging is disabled on our AI gateway, and no human at Darts Labs LLC ever views it.
Face data — we do not collect it. Bound AI does not collect, process, or store face data of any kind. The app performs no face detection, face recognition, face mapping, or facial-geometry analysis, and creates no faceprint or biometric template. Verification looks only for a hand gesture (for example "hold up 3 fingers") and for whether the photo matches your task. If your face happens to appear in a photo you take, it is not detected, measured, identified, or singled out in any way, and the photo itself is discarded immediately after the check. We never use any photo to identify a person.
Advertising & device data (via ads). The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers (including an advertising ID), general device information, and approximate usage data to serve and measure ads. See Google's policy linked below.
We do not collect payment card details. Any future subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, which handle billing — we never see your card information.
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the app work:

We keep your account and task data for as long as your account exists. Proof photos are not retained: they are held only in memory for the duration of the verification request and discarded as soon as the result comes back — they are never written to our database or any file storage. Face data is not collected, so none is retained. Deleting your account removes your account record, task history, balances, and push token immediately (see "Your choices").
Bound AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data (encrypted transport, authenticated access). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.
Your information may be processed on servers operated by our providers (e.g. Cloudflare, Google) which may be located outside your country. By using the app you consent to this processing.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected in the app or store listing.
